Dell 7920 non-volitile memory access

The Dell 7920 that I’m setting up came with four 1 TB spinning rust drives attached to the controller on the motherboard. For a baseline, here’s how fast they are:

That’s about 1600 bits/sec at best. Pretty unimpressive.

Next up is the 2 TB boot solid state drive (SSD) that came with the machine.

About 15 times as fast.

Next is one of the 8 TB SSDs on the OWC Accelsior 4M2.

A bit slower, but close.

Now for two of the 8TB SSDs on the OWC PCIe card that have been configured as a Windows striped volume.

Overall, there is no improvement from the OS software striping.
